Here we are with our weekly appointment!
After having repaired the hair with a good mask last week, it is equally important to know that our precious hair is not exactly great allies of heat. It is therefore an excellent idea to read up on it in order to always show off healthy hair and today we are here to solve your doubt with our smart tricks!
How do you know if your hair is damaged by heat?
Generally the hair looks all the same; very annoying straw effect that ruffles the hair towards the ends and the presence of broken hair with small white dots at the height of the breakage of the wires.
How to fix?
You can't fix a burn on your hair. The epidermis is able to heal over time, but the hair is not and the hair, being hair, can only grow. Therefore, my dear readers, scissors in hand (from a good hairdresser!) and cut away the damaged part.
You can only prevent a hair burn by trying to be careful with some small life-saving tricks:
- Discoloration burn : one of the worst! It goes without saying that if you want to dye your hair, AVOID ammonia on your hair. If you often play with the color of your hair, rather focus on products that go away after a few washes, henna or simply ammonia-free dyes.
- Burn from hair styling products : you have to be very careful about using direct heat products in any case. Surely the low-priced products, with blades that are not 100% ceramic should make you turn up your nose, instead of inducing you to buy. But other quality products allow you to regulate the temperature, an optimal option if you have very fine and sensitive hair.
We recommend our plates, especially the infrared , which with their technology heat the hair from the inside without burning it and with the action of negative ions, it becomes easier to preserve the hair's natural humidity, avoiding drying it out.
- Burn from hair dryer : this, in addition to damaging the hair, is quite painful for the scalp! Definitely avoid using the hair dryers too close, keeping them at a distance of at least 20cm. It will take a little longer to dry, but it won't be harmful. Beware of the temperature: don't always keep them at maximum heat! Start with a hot blow dry, but once you've removed the excess water, turn the heat down. You will drastically decrease your heat damage.
Little tip: You can also use products to protect your hair from heat! There are many on the market, we recommend ours SELFIE READY , which in addition to protecting the hair, leaves it bright and fragrant!
